It is a nice garden and its free to walk around and check out the plants. I had a nice solo tour of the house with a friendly docent. Gardens are lovely but please make a contribution if you can because this is volunteer-run.

Burbank lived in Santa Rosa for more than 50 years, and performed the bulk of his life's work at this location. From 1884 to 1906 he lived in this park's Greek Revival house; he then moved across Tupper street to a house that no longer exists. She made several additions and improvements to the structure, and its present appearance and furnishings reflect her warmth and good taste.

Originally a place to store carriages and horse tack, the carriage house was renovated in 1986 as a museum. The building accommodates exhibits relating to Burbank's life and work, the gift shop, and the tour registration desk. An original cupola atop the building was replicated in 1989.
